Free Speech is also regarded as the live wire of democracy. Freedom of speech and expression is sacrosanct right for a vibrant democracy. Freedom of speech and expression is a right as well as liberty that is enshrined in our Constitution. The freedom of speech and expression is essential in a democratic set-up and for its proper functioning of the democratic process.
